The Big Porridge

On a foggy Monday Room 4 was making porridge. First we poured 8 cups of water. After that we put oatmeal in the pot and 12 children had turns sprinkling the oatmeal in the pot. When everyone had turns we stirred the oatmeal with wooden spoon. Next we waited for the bubbles to come. The Mrs Pole got the ladle and put the hot porridge into the bowls. After this Ms Mat put the brown sugar on our bowl and Ms Mat said "who wants milk?" After we ate the porridge. Last of all Stanley had 3 bowls of porridge. The porridge was delicious and yummy.

The Big Pot of Porridge

First of all on a cold Monday morning, Room 4 had porridge in the morning because that's what they ate in the olden days. Mrs Pole brought an element and milk and oatmeal. Mrs Pole said to Eusepio "can you get 3 cups of water?" Next we had a turn to stir. Marcus was the first one to stir. He had a very long time. While he was stirring we sat on a cushion. When it was nearly ready Mrs Pole said come and see it bubbling. Marcus stirred with a wooden spoon. Pio gave the 3 cups of water to Mrs Pole so she could tip it into the pot. I felt excited. The porridge made my tummy hot. I put brown sugar in my porridge, that made my porridge yummy. Last of all, we gave our plate to Mrs Mat so she could wash it.

Yummy Porridge

On a cold Monday morning Room 4 made porridge at St Pius school. First of all, all of the children sat around the element. After this Mrs Pole asked Eusepio to go with the Jug and fill 3 cups of water. Then Mrs Pole picked some people to have a turn to sprinkle the oatmeal. Next we put 12 cups of oatmeal sprinkled into the pot. Following this we started going around the circle to mix the porridge. While the porridge was getting thick we were sitting up for Mrs Pole to call our name. Next we went up to Mrs Pole to get our porridge and eat it and some sugar. Last of all Mrs Mat poured milk into our bowl. I liked the part when we had a turn to stir.

A Big Pot of Porridge

On a cold Monday morning Room 4 made an enormous pot of hot, tasty porridge. We made porridge to taste a food that was eaten a lot by the early settlers. Some of us had 3 helpings. Soon you will be able to read our recounts of this experience.
